2025 Tampa Bay Buccaneers projections: How many TDs will Rachaad White score?

Entering his fourth NFL season, Rachaad White looks to bounce back and reaffirm his scoring role in Tampa Bay’s offense. After a quiet 2024 campaign in the end zone, White still brings reliability, versatility, and a chance to regain his red-zone prominence next year.

White finished the 2024 regular season with 144 carries for 613 rushing yards and just three rushing touchdowns, a noticeable dip after his six rushing touchdowns in 2023. On the receiving end, he added 51 catches for 393 yards and six receiving touchdowns, demonstrating clear value as a pass-catcher and notching a role in the high-powered Buccaneers offense.

Despite averaging a career-high 4.3 yards per carry, White saw his workload reduced midway through the season as Bucky Irving emerged as Tampa’s starter. White’s nine total touchdowns were solid, but his touchdown distribution shifted more to the passing game than in previous years.

Factors That Will Drive His 2025 Scoring

Red-zone scenario adjustments

With a resemblance of continuity at offensive coordinator with Josh Grizzard, Tampa's former pass game coordinator, and all five starters returning on the line, there may be renewed emphasis on using White’s strength and contact balance inside the 5-yard line. Getting Rachaad more touches inside the redzone and on short yardage should only boost his confidence and touchdown production.

Receiving role continuity

White’s knack for catches in tight spaces and proven touchdown production (6 in 2024) positions him well for another year of pass-game scoring. While the Buccaneers added even more offensive firepower in Emeka Egbuka and Tez Johnson, White's natural ability when given the ball in space will give him ample opportunity.
