Dolphins sign Cole Strange, former Patriots first round pick, to reinforce offensive line
The Miami Dolphins have reinforced their offensive line by acquiring former first round pick Cole Strange in the wake of James Daniels' injury.

The Miami Dolphins reinforced their offensive line on Sept. 9 in the wake of a starter James Daniels' pectoral injury.
The Dolphins picked up Cole Strange, a 2022 first round pick by the New England Patriots, off the Cleveland Browns' practice squad according to the NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.
Strange could be available to play for the Dolphins in an AFC East clash with his former team on Sunday, Sept. 14, per Pelissero.
A 27-year-old offensive lineman who played collegiately at Tennessee-Chattanooga, Strange started every game at left guard for the Patriots in his rookie 2022 season.
He started in 10 games for the Patriots in 2023 before suffering a season-ending knee injury. Strange was out until December 2024 recovering from the injury and only appeared in three games last season.
The Patriots released Strange on Aug. 26 and he was signed to the Browns practice squad two days later.
The Dolphins got off to a disastrous start to the 2025 NFL regular season with a 33-8 loss to the Indianapolis Colts in Week 1 at Lucas Oil Stadium.
Daniels suffered a pectoral injury and left the game in the first quarter while defensive back Storm Duck exited with an ankle injury later in the first half.
The Miami Dolphins (0-1) play the New England Patriots (0-1) in Week 2 of the NFL regular season at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens on Sept. 14 at 1 p.m.
