Former Auburn QB Ashto Daniels schedules three Power Four visits

Like the rest of the 2025 Auburn quarterback room, Ashton Daniels is looking for a place to play football in 2026.

He joins both Jackson Arnold and Deuce Knight in the transfer portal, and Daniels has some visits lined up. Per Chad Simmons of Rivals, Daniels will visit Baylor, Florida State, and Kentucky.

Daniels played well for the Tigers in his final two starts of the 2025 season. This was after he struggled in his first start, where the Tigers lost to Kentucky 10-3, and Hugh Freeze was fired the next day. Versus the Vanderbilt Commodores, Daniels threw for 353 yards and two touchdowns. He also added 89 yards on the ground and two more touchdowns in a 45-38 overtime loss. In the Iron Bowl, he had a total of 367 yards and one passing touchdown. Daniels announced he would enter the transfer portal on December 21st.

Before arriving at Auburn, Daniels played three seasons for the Stanford Cardinal. Over those three seasons, he threw for 3,986 yards and 24 touchdowns. He stood out for Stanford as a runner, though. He rushed for 1,117 yards and nine touchdowns. Like Auburn in 2025, Stanford struggled to win games during Daniels' time there. Over the three years, the team went 9-27 and never won more than three games in a season. Despite that, Daniels has shown he can be a productive player and would help any potential team.
