Inter Milan 2-1 Kairat Almaty – Argentina & Brazil Stars Impress As Italy Midfielder Falters

Lautaro Martinez and Carlos Augusto inspired Inter Milan to a narrow 2-1 home win over Kairat Almaty last night.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport via FCInterNews, Davide Frattesi failed to live up to expectations.

Inter took the lead on the stroke of halftime as Lautaro Martinez maintained his rich vein of form in the Champions League.

Indeed, the 28-year-old scored his fourth goal in as many European outings this season.

However, Kairat drew level early in the second half, but Carlos Augusto settled the final score with a superb goal.

Despite his underwhelming form in Serie A, El Toro cannot stop finding the net in the Champions League.

Hopefully, he will translate his European form to Serie A when Inter take on Lazio this weekend.

Meanwhile, Augusto scored his first goal of the season to seal the Nerazzurri’s pivotal win.

On the other hand, Frattesi failed to impress in a rare start this term and will probably return to the bench against Lazio.
