Micah's 5 takeaways from Bears' surprising win over Pete Carroll, Raiders
Caleb Williams' Bears got a huge win, showing this is a new era for a team trying to change its identity and reputation

It was a very ugly win for the Chicago Bears on Sunday, but a rewarding win nonetheless. The Bears avoided a 1-3 start and somehow brought themselves back to a 500 record.
Here are my 5 takeaways from the Bears' win against the Raiders:
Rome Odunze's breakout season continues
Rome Odunze's touchdown streak continues as he has been of the Bears most reliable players on this team. Death, taxes, and a Rome Odunze touchdown seem to be the only things certain. Rome Odunze continues to take that jump in his second year. Taking him with the tenth overall pick is finally aging gracefully. So far on the season Odunze has 296 yards receiving and the second most receiving touchdowns in the NFL with 5. Caleb Williams and Rome's connection is looking like one of the best in the NFL early in year 2 for both young stars.
The young tackles played well
No Braxton Jones, no Darnell Wright and the Bears still find a way to win. Winning without your two starting tackles shows immense growth on this offensive line and this depth provide to be encouraging. Ozzy Trapilo came in at right tackle in the second half and held his own against Maxx Crosby. In 40 snaps Trapilo only gave up 2 quarterback hurries. The Rookie looked pretty impressive, even with how dominant Crosby was early in this game. The combination of Theo Benedet and Trapilo seemed to slow down Crosby just enough to win.
Caleb Williams was great in the clutch
Caleb was not great the entirety of this game against the Raiders like he was against Dallas. He however was great in the game winning drive, when the Bears needed him to be the most. In the final two minutes of the half this season Caleb Williams has a statline of 8-11, 102 passing yards, 2 passing touchdowns, and a 140.9 passer rating. Caleb Williams has been clutch since he has stepped foot in Chicago. Caleb displayed that again against Vegas. He was 4/5 on the last drive, passing for 42 yards, and escaping the pocket for 18 more yards. Something the Bears have been yearning for. Justin Fields was a special talent, but in crunchtime there always seemed to be a turnover, or he would take a drive killing sack. So far Caleb Williams has met the criteria of having ice in his veins.
D'Andre Swift was not great, but he was clutch
It was another game where the Bears could not run the football. D'Andre Swift has yet to have a dominant game so far. However in the 4th quarter and during the last drive he made plays to help the Bears drive down the field. He scored the touchdown that put the Bears up over the Raiders. Swift as the lead guy might not be the route for the Bears to have a successful run game. If Swift is used as a secondary option and a playmaker he may be more effective. As of right now as long as he makes plays to win the Bears game that's all the matters.
Josh Blackwell is one of the most impactful special teams players in the NFL
Josh Blackwell has been the Bears special teams ace for the Ryan Poles Bears era. He has made countless plays to win the Bears football games. Last season he returned a punt for a touchdown, a big momentum shifter against the Packers in that huge Week 18 victory. This time he blocks a go ahead field goal to ensure his team avoids a 1-3 start on the year. Blackwell is invaluable to this team and he deserves every penny he gets. Ryan Poles has had his fair share of misses but adding Blackwell to this roster has to be one of his biggest hits.
