New York Giants' rookies officially report for training camp

The New York Giants don't officially report for training camp as a full team until July 22, but their rookies will report to the facility on Tuesday, one week ahead of the rest of the team.

Abdul Carter, Jaxson Dart, Darius Alexander, Cam Skattebo, Marcus Mbow, Thomas Fidone II, and Korie Black, plus any undrafted free agents they signed, will all arrive at Quest Diagnostics center for physicals and orientation.

Directly across from MetLife Stadium, the rookies will practice at Quest, reacclimate to the area and the facility, and spend time learning things the veterans already know.

Getting some extra time with the coaching staff before the rest of the team arrives is going to be huge for the rookies. They'll get to ask questions, have more personal conversations, and dive into the playbook so they can learn the jargon and understand how the Giants use it.

These young players will build on the bond they started to create during minicamp and organized team activities (OTAs), and they'll get more comfortable with the personnel and staff. The more comfortable they are in the building, the more relaxed they'll be on the field, which will allow them to play to the best of their abilities.

The first full-team practice is scheduled for Wednesday, July 23.
