Nick Sirianni’s roller-coaster Eagles tenure takes another rewarding turn
Eagles sign Nick Sirianni to multi-year contract extension with one year left on his current deal

Everyone who has questioned Nick Sirianni's legitimacy as the Philadelphia Eagles head coach at some point always hoped they'd be able to write this story. Sometimes, the life of a Birds fan or a Philly media member trades passion for downright lunacy. Still, even though everyone questioned whether the 'CEO head coach' was the man for the job at some point, everyone hoped the road would lead here.
Nick Sirianni is a Super Bowl-winning head coach. Nothing will ever take that away from him.
Cue the retractions. We may not have thought we'd be allowed to offer our thank yous so swiftly. Who would have thought? This time last year, he was on the hot seat, but Nick did what the NFL's most demanding fan base often asks for.
Put on some tough skin. Acknowledge the nature of the city the Eagles play in and understand that a reward comes if you accept the challenge.
Nick did precisely that. Here we sit, with OTAs approaching, adding another chapter to a great redemption story.
Nick Sirianni earns an extension from the Philadelphia Eagles.
Though not totally surprising, Philly announced it has given its head coach a multi-year extension. Make no mistake. He has earned it. Who would have thought? At this juncture of the offseason, 12 calendar months ago, there were questions about whether or not he should be fired.

Eagles have announced a multi-year extension for HC Nick Sirianni.

• 5th-highest win % in NFL history
• Made the playoffs every year
• Two Super Bowl appearances
• One championship— Victor Williams (@ThePhillyPod) May 19, 2025
Philly's sports fans and the media that cover their favorite team aren't always praised for their patience. This time it worked out. Coach Sirianni has gone from the 'outhouse' to the 'penthouse'; if we're honest, it feels good to be wrong sometimes.
Congratulations Coach! It's an honor well deserved. Now, refocus, and win another one.
