The Green Bay Packers are sitting 29 players -- or almost a third of the team's roster -- for Saturday's preseason game against the Indianapolis Colts. Some are dealing with injuries, but most are healthy scratches. Matt LaFleur's team is resting starters following Thursday's joint practice with the Colts.

However, Indianapolis is planning on playing most of its starters in the first half on Saturday, so LaFleur and Brian Gutekunst will get a valuable evaluation opportunity on second- and third-stringers on the depth chart.

Quarterback Malik Willis will start for the Packers. Others suiting up include Jordan Morgan, Sean Rhyan, Matthew Golden and MarShawn Lloyd.

The following players won't play against the Colts on Saturday:

  • LB Quay Walker
  • RB Josh Jacobs
  • WR Christian Watson
  • QB Jordan Love
  • WR Jayden Reed
  • WR Dontayvion Wicks
  • S Javon Bullard
  • CB Nate Hobbs
  • CB Carrington Valentine
  • CB Keisean Nixon
  • S Xavier McKinney
  • S Evan Williams
  • S Zayne Anderson
  • DL Collin Oliver
  • OL Zach Tom
  • DL Rashan Gary
  • LB Edgerrin Cooper
  • LB Isaiah McDuffie
  • T Rasheed Walker
  • G Aaron Banks
  • G John Williams
  • C/G Elgton Jenkins
  • WR Savion Williams
  • TE Tucker Kraft
  • WR Romeo Doubs
  • TE Luke Musgrave
  • DL Lukas Van Ness

The Packers and Colts are scheduled for a noon CT kickoff from Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.
