Patriots release two players from the practice squad on Thursday
The New England Patriots announced two practice squad cuts on Thursday.

The New England Patriotsannounced a series of transactions with the practice squad on Thursday.
Earlier in the day, it was reported that the team had signed tight end Thomas Odukoya and defensive tackle Leonard Taylor. The team confirmed both moves and also announced the releases of tight end Marshall Lang and defensive lineman David Olajiga as the corresponding practice squad moves.
Lange was signed by the Patriots on October 14, after previously spending time with the Seattle Seahawks. He was signed by the Seahawks as an undrafted free agent from Northwestern. He had a productive college career for the Wildcats, recording 40 receptions for 491 yards and four touchdowns.
Olajiga was signed by the Patriots organization before training camp. He was initially part of the International Pathway Program with the Los Angeles Rams before being released in May.
The Patriots are updating their depth at critical areas on the roster.
Hunter Henry and Austin Hooper are the top two tight end options on their roster, but that No. 3 spot still feels wide open. Meanwhile, the team is loaded along the defensive front with Christian Barmore, Milton Williams, Khyiris Tonga and Joshua Farmer.
