Watch: Notre Dame strikes first against Purdue with first-play touchdown
Notre Dame scored on its first play from scrimmage against Purdue.

No. 21 Notre Dame wasted no time before scoring against the Purdue Boilermakers.
Fighting Irish quarterback CJ Carr took Notre Dame's first snap from scrimmage and found Malachi Fields for a 66-yard touchdown strike on a play-action pass. The one-play scoring drive took just 9 seconds.
This is after Notre Dame forced the Boilermakers to punt without getting a first down on their first drive.
If Notre Dame feels it has something to prove after an 0-2 start against Miami (FL) and Texas A&M, well, that's a good way to start the game.
