Philadelphia 76ers guard Kyle Lowry is entering year 20 in the NBA as he will look to take on more of a mentor role in Philadelphia. He played only 35 games in the 2024-25 season averaging 3.9 points and 2.7 assists as his Hall of Fame career is nearing an end.

Lowry is back with the Sixers on a 1-year deal and one has to believe he will essentially be something of a player-coach for Nick Nurse and Co. He knows Nurse's plays and style like the back of his hand from their days together with the Toronto Raptors and Lowry is also one of the smartest players in the NBA. He will serve as a great veteran for the youngsters on the Sixers.

Amazon Prime is set to take on NBA coverage in the 2025-26 season, and on Thursday, announced that they will welcome Lowry to their coverage team heading into the new season.

Lowry will make selective appearances throughout the 2025-26 season before taking on more responsibility in the future. The way it's set up sounds as if the veteran out of Villanova is setting up his career after basketball and he will likely flourish in that role as he has as an NBA player.
