Arizona Cardinals' history vs. Falcons QB Kirk Cousins
Cousins makes his seventh career start against the Cardinals, his first with Atlanta.
When the Arizona Cardinals take on the Atlanta Falcons Sunday at State Farm Stadium, they will face quarterback Kirk Cousins for the seventh time. Cousins is making his sixth start of the season for the Falcons and fifth straight since quarterback Michael Penix Jr. tore his ACL, ending his season.
On the season, Cousins has completed 62.6% of his passes for 1,218 yards, six touchdowns and three interceptions. He has been sacked eight times.
The Cardinals have had varying levels of success against Cousins. In six career previous starts with Washington and Minnesota, he is 3-3 against the Cardinals. He has completed 65.5% of his passes against them for 1,530 yards, 11 touchdowns and five interceptions. He has been sacked 13 times. He has also had 14 rushes for 71 yards and three touchdowns.
Cousins had a fantastic start last week, passing for 373 yards and three touchdowns, beating the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 29-28.

2014
Cousins' first start against the Cardinals was in 2014. The Cardinals won that game 30-20. He passed for 354 yards, two touchdowns an three picks. He was sacked twice.
2016
His next start against them was with Washington in 2016. The Cardinals won that game 31-23. He passed for 271 yards, a touchdown and an interception. He rushed for a touchdown and was sacked twice.
2017
In 2017, again with Washington, he beat the Cardinals 20-15. He passed for 196 yards and two scores, and he was sacked twice.
2018
After going to the Vikings, he beat the Cardinals 27-17. He passed for 233 yards, a touchdown and a pick. He was sacked four time and rushed for a score as well.
2021
In 2021, he lost a heartbreaker to the Cardinals in Week 2. The Cardinals won 34-33 when Vikings kicker Greg Joseph missed a field goal at the end of the game. He passed for 233 yards and three touchdowns and was sacked once.
2022
In 2022, he beat the Cardinals 34-26 withe Vikings, passing for 232 yards and two touchdowns, and he rushed for a third. He was sacked three times.
