Date and time officially set for 49ers playoff showdown vs. Seahawks

It'll be a familiar day and time for the San Francisco 49ers and Seattle Seahawks when they square off at Lumen Field in the divisional round of the playoffs.

The NFL on Monday announced the 49ers-Seahawks showdown will take place at 5:00pm Pacific Time on Saturday. It's the exact same window they played in in Week 18 when Seattle throttled the 49ers 13-3 at Levi's Stadium.

It's also a familiar occurrence for the 49ers who'll once again be on a short week. They played Sunday in Philadelphia and now turnaround to play Saturday night. That's reminiscent of their turnaround from Week 17 to 18 when they hosted the Chicago Bears on Sunday night and then hosted the Seahawks the following week on Saturday evening.

Here's the full divisional playoff schedule:

  • Saturday, Buffalo Bills at Denver Broncos, 1:30pm PT (CBS, Paramount+)
  • Saturday, San Francisco 49ers at Seattle Seahawks, 5:00pm PT (Fox, Fox One)
  • Sunday, Houston Texans at New England Patriots, 12:00pm PT (ESPN, ABC, ESPN App)
  • Sunday, Los Angeles Rams at Chicago Bears, 3:30pm PT (NBC, Peacock)

If the 49ers win, they'll visit the winner of the Rams-Bears showdown in the NFC championship game.

If the 49ers lose, their season is over.
