Real Madrid’s season has taken a dramatic turn for the worse, with the damaging defeat to Celta Vigo placing Xabi Alonso under intense pressure.

The loss has not only deepened the sense of crisis at the Bernabeu but also overshadowed a major setback involving Eder Militao, who has been ruled out for four months with a serious injury.

As such, a hammer blow of that magnitude could not have come at a more delicate time.

With the defensive structure shaken and Alonso’s future hanging by a thread, attention is now shifting towards the January transfer window.

In fact, according to a report from Defensa Central, an unexpected yet familiar name has resurfaced in internal conversations – Sergio Ramos.

Is this a possibility?

Ramos, the iconic former captain, has recently ended his spell in Mexico and is actively seeking a return to European football.

Currently without a club, the veteran defender would undoubtedly welcome a call from Real Madrid, perhaps even with open arms, as his relationship with Florentino Perez remains strong.

However, despite the nostalgia and the symbolism of a potential reunion, the Madrid hierarchy has been firm.

The club consider Ramos’ chapter at Real Madrid closed, at least from a playing perspective.

Sources close to the institution insist there is no scenario in which the 39-year-old will be re-signed.

In the long-term future, a coaching role is not ruled out, but as a player, he is simply not part of Real Madrid’s plans.

After his experience with Rayados and the personal challenges of living far from his family, Ramos is eager to return closer to home.

Yet opportunities in Spain appear limited, forcing him to weigh alternative destinations, including the Middle East and the United States.
