Lyon Coach Fonseca Wants to Extend Endrick Loan

According to ESPN Brazil, Lyon head coach Paulo Fonseca has already asked the club’s hierarchy to explore options to keep Endrick beyond the current agreement, impressed by his immediate influence and efficiency in front of goal.

Endrick’s early impact at Lyon has not changed Real Madrid’s long-term stance. Fabrizio Romano reports that the club’s board consider the Brazilian forward “100% part of future plans,” reinforcing that his loan move was developmental rather than transitional.

The numbers explain why. Since arriving in France, Endrick has played three matches across all competitions, scoring four goals and providing one assist — five goal contributions in his first (3) appearances for Olympique Lyonnais.

His loan runs until next June, but he remains tied to Real Madrid until 2030. While Lyon may wish to extend the relationship, Madrid’s internal position appears firm: the club see Endrick as a long-term asset and part of their future attacking core.
