Travis Kelce had a TD wiped away after badly missed facemask call
The refs missed the call, and it cost the Chiefs in a big way.
The Chiefs went into Sunday's Week 12 game against the Colts almost needing to win out to make the playoffs. And they absolutely couldn't afford to see six points wiped off the scoreboard.
In the first half, the Chiefs lined up in a wildcat formation with Travis Kelce faking the handoff on a direct snap. The Chiefs tight end went untouched for the touchdown, but a late flag brought a stop to the Chiefs' celebration.
Alex Moore's officiating crew called Chiefs tackle Jawaan Taylor for an offensive facemask penalty, which wiped away the touchdown and pushed the Chiefs into a long goal-to-go situation.
Replays, though, would show that Taylor didn't grab the facemask at all.

But I thought the refs only call penalties to help the Chiefs? ???? pic.twitter.com/kFNn17puNX— Jared Smith (@jaredsmithbets) November 23, 2025
According to the broadcast, Chiefs coach Andy Reid could have challenged the facemask. The call also could have been subject to replay assist. Yet, the officials never took a look at the penalty, and the Chiefs had to settle for a field goal.
So much for the Chiefs getting all the calls. That was a big one to miss.
