Social media reacts to Chargers' 16-3 loss to Patriots
Here are some of the best X reactions from analysts and fans to the Chargers' 16-3 playoff loss to the Patriots.
Despite facing the New England Patriots, in what was perceived as the most favorable matchup in the NFL wild-card round, the Los Angeles Chargers suffered yet another painful playoff exit, falling 16-3 at Gillette Stadium, an all-too-familiar event for Bolts fans.
Obviously, Chargers fans did not take the loss well, as many voiced their displeasure with the team's lack of finish on their numerous red-zone trips, horrendous offensive line play, and inability to move the ball offensively against the Patriots.

Don't worry, some analytical model is going to say that going for it gives a team a 1% greater chance of winning which completely allows teams to ignore personnel, playcall, and execution.— UrinatingTree (@UrinatingTree) January 12, 2026

When Herbert can't win off-script, this offense is dead. Because nothing, and I mean NOTHING works on-script with Greg Roman. He has no bag. He can't adapt. He can't make things easier on anybody. Zero justification keeping him next season— Kenjac (@JackKennedy) January 12, 2026
