Former England all-rounder David Willey will remain Northants Steelbacks captain for this summer's T20 Blast with Justin Broad as his new deputy.
Willey has been skipper since 2023 and led the team to an appearance at Finals Day last summer, only to lose to Hampshire by six wickets.
Broad hit an unbeaten 61 off 39 balls in that match and contributed 317 runs throughout the competition, plus three wickets.
"David is the ultimate professional, he drives players on and sets really high standards within the group," said head coach Darren Lehmann.
"He is a huge asset to the club and we're looking forward to seeing him lead by example again this year."
He added: "Broady has displayed a lot of great leadership qualities over the last year and has a brilliant cricket brain."
Northants, T20 Blast winners in 2013 and 2016, start this summer's competition with a home game against Glamorgan on 22 May.
