LSU football offers rising California QB after Tigers' miss on top QB target
LSU football missed on its top quarterback target, but the Tigers are turning their attention to a rising passer outwest.

After missing on its top quarterback in the 2026 class, LSU football made an offer to Bryson Beaver. The Murrieta, CA native made a social media post thanking head coach Brian Kelly and offensive coordinator Joe Sloan for the consideration.
"Looking forward to learning more about what makes LSU such a great place," Beaver said. "GEAUX TIGERS."
The news comes days after the cycle's No. 7 quarterback Bowe Bentley committed to Oklahoma. He had the Sooners and the Tigers as his top two, but opted to head to Norman. With few top passers remaining uncommitted, Kelly and his staff needed to pivot quickly.
A three-star prospect, Beaver is slotted at No. 55 at his position and No. 78 out of California by On3's Industry Rankings. In the last week, he picked up an offer from Auburn and made an official visit to Oregon.
Beaver made a large jump in the eyes of scouts after his performance as one of the top passers at the Elite 11. He was originally committed to Boise State, but late traction led him to reconsider.
Grateful to say @LSUfootball offered! Appreciate @CoachBrianKelly and @CoachJoeSloan believing in me. Looking forward to learning more about what makes LSU such a great place. GEAUX TIGERS! pic.twitter.com/zQ7ePltDly— Bryson Beaver (@BrysonBeaverQB) June 23, 2025
